A good flat Iron with ceramic plates?
What a good flat iron? I’m tired of those knock off ones that the so-called "ceramic" peels off after a while.
So what’s a good brand and product name(if applicable). If there are any links and stores in which to buy(walmart, target etc), that will be helpful.
Having ceramic plates are better right?
If it makes a diffence, I am of African descent with chemically straightened hair.

Search for a Sally Beauty Supply store or an Ulta…someplace that specializes in beauty stuff, they’ll have better products than what’s at walmart and as long as you don’t get a super-duluxe flat iron, it won’t be too expensive.
Ceramic plates are good for even heat distribution, but try to go for ionizing plates with tourmaline…it’s healthier for your hair, makes it smoother, and is less damaging than regular ceramic flat irons.
Use the store locater on the websites:

Conair is cheap and that’s what I use and it works really well and heats up in 30 seconds. If you want to splurge and really get a good one try bed head.
chi or sedu
Yes, yes! Okay, the flat iron I am about to show you is kind of expensive, but I’ve had mine for 3 years and it still works like the first time I used it! 8 of my friends have bought one since I got mine because of how great it is! They are actual ceramic plates no peeling or anything!

Chi
It is the only brand that works on my super curly hair. I wore one out and bought another one on Overstock.com for $75 less than in the salons around my home
hot tools and chi the good thing about these straightner is they have something called infared heat (sry about spelling)
infared heat doesnt dry out your hair or burn it nomatter how many times you use it they go up to about 400 to 500 degrees f money wise 60-140 dollars hope i helped
yea ceramic is most deff better. doesnt tear ur hair out like the metal ones. the very best i can reccomened is chi brand or sedu….pricey but worth it!!!!!!! good luck hope this helped anddd have a fun 4th!
OK. REAL ceramic plates are really good. Im sorry, but i dont have a link for you, but i know they have it at target. It is an ANDIS CERAMIC PLATED STRAIGHTENER. It is AMAZING! And its pretty cheap. But they are built to last
I have huge puffy, curly and when I want to straighten my hair I use: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2127500&productId=VP12032&navAction=push&navCount=4&categoryId=cat120060&title=Ceramic+Hair+Straightener
&& I absloutley love it! I totally suggest this one (just remember. always use a protecting gel)
Chi is great but I like the paul mitchell much better just because you can adjust the temp. you dont really need it at 400 degres unless you have super thick hair my hair is super curly but I set mine at 200 degrees because too much heat is not good. And you are right ceramic plates are much better they dont pull and they will seal your cuticle down making your hair stay straight hope it helps.
OK, there are two types of ceramic straighteners, the first is solid ceramic the second is tourmaline ceramic.
the first one is made of solid ceramic and it’s safer to use on your hair cause it will damage it less. the second one has a ceramic heater inside, so you get the same results but it’s not solid ceramic. in the professional market, hair dressers and salons usually prefer the tourmaline ceramic because it spreads the heat on the plates evenly. I have a Wetline Pro for 8 months and I’m very happy with it, it works great. hope this helps…
i used to have a conair, for the longest time, well i still have it, i wrks great…but my friend gave me a chi and its awesome, way better… and theres alot of reviews (good) go to target.com
or just shop at target
walmart does not sell them
Paul Brown Hawaii, it’s ceramic and gets up to 425 degrees, I think it’s under $100, but me and my sister both use it, she has thin hair and mine is very thick. Just make sure to straighten in sections. You should also use a heat/blow out spay which protects your hair against damaging heat (I use guardian angel 425 degree blow out perfection protection, it also adds a shine to your hair).
