Ceramic Hair Straightener Iron

Hair straightening?

I have a choice between buying a Hair Iron or getting my hair permanently straightened(for a year via the xtenso program)

which should I pick, and which would be more harmful for me?
I have really thick curly hair….and I was thinking about it .. I’m in India right now, and when I last visited the electronics store I saw Panasonic , Sony and Braun hair irons in the store, so whats the best one out of the three?

Also, are there any products you have to use before ironing your hair?Like a heat-spray? and yeah my LAST question:How often can you iron it ?

It would be very tiring to straighten your hair every day, and since you have thick hair, it would take a LONG time. I dont think it is good for your hair either if you straighten it every day. But if you have a permanent straighten, than if you wanted to wear your hair natural, you couldnt, and you would have to curl it. Im not sure which one is the best, but since you have thick hair, it would be best to choose one with teeth because they grip better. No you don’t need any special products to straighten your hair, and I wouldnt iron it every day, that could damage your hair, and if you do straighten it, make your hair is damp, or dry.If you do straighten your hair every day, you will want to use a heat spray. DO NOT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR WHEN WET.

well my sister had hairs like yours and then got it permanetly straightened liek twice and now she just uses an iron but since the permanet stuff her hair has been a lot prettier and stuff…and yes u must use a heat spray or u will get dry and split ends…and you can iron it whenever you want to…

i would just buy a hair iron in case your hair doesnt come out the way you want or how you expected if you get it permanently done.
    better safe than sorry.
anyway i’m sure any of those irons would work well, though i would get a ceramic one with 2 inch plates because its wider and you can straighten more hair at once.
i’d also get one with adjustable temperature.

you dont have to use any products on your hair but if you want to there are plently of heat sprays and products that help with frizz and straightening cremes.
you can iron when you want, i dont think there’s a restriction. however if you notice your hair is drier or more brittle i would start using a hydrating creme or a heat protection one.
if you use it at a higher temperature once during the day you dont have to straighten more than once or twice in a day

bruan, because the permanent hair straightening is 500 bucks so make sure you really want it that way .braun is better because braun excels in hair and shaving products here is how the thermal reconditioning works

    1. Assessing the hair type and condition.
    2. Washing the hair.
    3. Applying protein to the hair, if necessary for the particular customer and hair type. (small extra charge for this procedure, if you don’t do this when necessary, you could end up with a less than satisfactory result, the stylist will tell you if this is necessary or not in your consultation)
    4. Applying Solution #1 (this cuts the hair’s "Cystine Bonds" – the bonds that hold curl or wave patterns).
    5. Testing to see when the hair is ready to have Solution #1 rinsed out.
    6. Rinsing the hair.
    7. Eliminating some excess moisture in the hair (blow-drying to a certain point).
    8. Ironing the hair in extremely small sections with a special Japanese Straightening Iron that reaches temperatures of 180 degrees Celsius. Don’t worry, this will not damage your hair unnecessarily.
    9. Applying Solution #2 to the hair after ironing is completed.
    10. Rinsing the hair and conditioning.
    11. Drying the hair and applying a flat iron to remove excess moisture if necessary.
    *takes 4-8 hrs

just iron it when it becomes curly if you use a hair iron sorry I don’t know much about hair treatment
