After I finish the actual french braid and start on the bottom braid, it’s too thick to look like a thin braid so I end up with a very loose short braid. Is there any way to fix that?
I can french braid other peoples hair reasonably well, but my own always ends terribly. It’s never tight enough…and always uneven when I do both sides.
Hi, are you pulling your hair tight enough when you are braiding. You don’t have to pull it really tight to hurt your scalp, just enough to hold the hair together neatly. It’s fine if your braid is thicker. Sometimes the shorter a person’s hair is the thicker it will be which is very pretty. You can try making your hair slightly damp before you start braiding. It will help you make a nice neat even braid. I hope that helps
