no the siver one is the newest one in the Pro Tools line, i also own this iron.
can you curl your hair with it?
Yes, you can, it’s a 1″ flat iron, so it does curl, although I’m not sure how to do it.
The sliver one has the grips on it while the 1.25 don’t. It works great if you just want straight hair, you can curl with it but it is harder then with the sliver one. We covet the silver flat iron. -Paul Mitchell Future Professional.
well you can..but, the edges are a little odd..it kinda makes kiniks if you’re not careful..I found it hard to curl with this

it is newer and it is better.
