If you don’t have a good flat iron, you should invest in a GHD flat iron.
It’s really good. Expensive, but it’s worth it. Its temperature depends on your hairs thickness and such. It goes really fast, and it stays straight for almost 2 days
i thought the mini one is only for your bangs? & a regular one for the whole head

i know a good way to get it to stay in place you can spray the comb with hairspray and it stays
