Here’s a link to my current favorite flat iron. It’s the Sally’s Beauty Supply store brand called Great Value Products and (IMHO) works even better than the CHI for about half the price. I’ve owned two and the first one I had lasted more than six years. I bought the first one in 2003 for about $80 and the price has gone down since then.

Plus they come in cute colors like the CHI!
Also, I would recommend ordering from the Sally’s website, to be safe. If you’re in the US, there’s free shipping and you can purchase a warranty, et cetera.
BTW, I have super thick, frizzy, wavy hair and this flat iron gets it stick straight and super shiny.
I like Toni And Guy for good prices. GHD’s are my personal favourite, but not very cheap. I don’t recommend you buy them on ebay, there are too many counterfeit ones on there.
I have a Cricket and I love it. It works just as well as CHI’s and costs less. They also last a lot longer as they are studier! The ceramic plates are great and I have never needed to clean them as they never build up. The settings are adjustable, which is what you want as well.
If you go On sally’s beauty website,

I have terribly curly hair, Its wonderful. Plus It goes up to 450 degrees and it relitivly cheap compared to a chi.
