I bought a flatiron at walmart for about $30.00 and it has a control dial on it. I’ve never tried a titanium. I think how you use the iron is important. I have naturally wavy hair and the one I got is wonderful.
If I just put the flatiron through my hair, it’s not gonna work as well if I don’t use the steps to get it straight. Try this, it works for me. If I spend $30.00 on an iron or $100.00 on an iron, it doesn’t matter.
First I wash and condition my hair, then I put flatiron serum into it, then blowdry. I then straighten it with the flatiron. After that, I put some shine serum into it and flatiron again to lock in the shine. It works for me and everyone elses hair I do. Try it and good luck.

    I use a clothes iron….is that bad?

Titanium may be more efficient, but it will ruin your hair.

Stick with ceramic, and your hair will be in much better condition. If you’re not happy with your current straightener, consider investing a bit more on a more expensive ceramic model that will most likely yield better results.

ceramic is best because all good major straightening companies use ceramic. it may be bad because for it to straighten properly you need to use a good company like ghd but these cost hundreds of pounds. you can also use heat protection if by bad you mean it ruins your hair

WHAT!? your straightener goes to 200!! Mine only goes to a suckish 30…:( I have a and ceramic one and it does not work good and burns my hair sooo bad my friend Kacy has a titanium has been using it for like 3 years and her hair is not burned as bad as mine …she also straightens her hair everyday…as for me i do it like 1-5 a month. Everyone’s hair is different though.

my straightener goes up to 450 degrees, and it is ceramic. it makes my hair smooth and silky and i prefer ceramic because it is waayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less damaging.
